How to Describe Yourself, Part 2



Today's forty-year-old is much younger than the forty-year-old of twenty years ago. But it doesn't help make it any easier for us to tell people we are forty. Again, it bothers us more the fact you lied about it than if you were older and told the truth. If you look younger than your age, we will notice by your photo or when we meet in person. If I was designing a matchmaker Web site, I would have an age range as opposed to having you put up just one little, lonely number. But who am I? I know of a couple sites that now do, in fact, allow you to list an age range, so if you feel you don't want to let people know exactly how old you are, maybe this is the way to go.

How about ethnicity? Again we should all know what we are. Now there are some people who are just pure "muts." (And I mean that in a good way.) They're half Irish, a quarter Asian, an eighth Puerto Rican, and an eighth American Indian. If this is the case, I say it would be okay to put "Other" in this section. Another option
